{Aliased}The text you are reading is displayed using the standard QuickDraw routines: they're fast but the resulting text has that "computer generated" feel. For multimedia titles that rely on high visual quality, this quality of text simply isn't good enough. Tools like Adobe Photoshop provide one solution by allowing you to build bitmapped images containing pre-rendered anti-aliased text. However, building hundreds of screens worth of text in this way is slow and if you need to change the text you'll have to rebuild the whole screen. Pre-rendered texts are inflexible and take up a lot of storage space.
